Gary, Theoretically, this does not sound possible. I think you are having a brain fart...no offense. Are you saying if you set the VCR to record on channel 6..it records the channel the TV is tuned to? Either you have your cables reversed on the rear...are you using a cable box or VCR plus feature set to the incorrect channel? support@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx FAX 717-564-4952 Jeff Dougherty Intrepid Video & Electronics Be careful of your thoughts. 501 Luther Rd They may become your words Harrisburg, PA 17111 any moment. 717-909-8844 VCR tips, electronics info & general interest. www.intrepid-video.com www.tech-repair.net www.thetoolcaddy.com www.9-11-2001tragedy.com *********************************************************************** ----- Original Message ----- From: "Gary McCartney" <gary@xxxxxxxxxxx> To: <techassist@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Tuesday, December 17, 2002 5:53 PM Subject: [TechAssist] Re: Toshiba VCR M-684C doesn't record channel pre-programmed in. Yes, I believe you are correct. When I manually turn it on, it comes on in TV mode and when play is pressed, it of course switches to VCR mode. If I manually press record, it will change to VCR mode and the signal from the chosen channel is recorded. But when I program the timer to record, it comes on in TV mode and does not record the signal from the channel I chose.
