Toshiba VCRs for some reason would not record a CABLE station, even if you
had gone into the menu and set it for CABLE.....always have to autoprogram
it for the unit to "program record"....heck you could set these up, manually
record a cable channel, even above CH13, think everything is A-OK, then come
home and find you've missed 3-5 days of your favorite TV
program......(UNLESS YOU AUTOPROGRAMMED IT).
Yeah, I owned one of these units, and it took me 2 weeks to figure this out
after my 1st power outage.
There's nothing wrong with the Micro, or the battery backup (if there is
one). It's just the way it was built.
