[TechAssist] Re: RCA Proscan PS27115, Chassis CTC197BC. Intermittent loss of audio, just a pop sound when channels change?

I went to a Proscan PS32900/CTC197CM2 a few months ago that had no sound. I
found the speakers turned off so I turned them back on and all appeared
well. The remote was all screwed up so I figured it somehow got a screwy
signal from the remote that caused it. They had no idea how to go into the
menu to do it themselves.

I took the remote back to the shop and cleaned it and returned it.

A few days later they called with the same problem. When I got there the
speakers were turned off again, but turning them on didn't restore the
sound. I unplugged it for a while and that got the sound back. I told them I
was going to check for notes on the problem and found none on TA or RW.
They haven't called back so I guess it hasn't done it again. Maybe I'll call
tomorrow to see, now that I've been reminded.
