[TechAssist] RCA 169 G35830WK retrace lines/red screen @ turn off

Hi Guys, this 35" RCA has a strange problem, set comes on with widely spaced
retraces lines that will not
adjust out with the screen control, I`m hoping this is Q2906 (which I`m
ordering today) but the voltages on it
were real close so it may not be the problem, the wierd problem is at channel
change or turn off the screen gets bright red, I swapped the blue and red
driver transistors on the crt board with no change, checked tube on Sencore CR
70, reads ok, Any ideas ? tia, Larry E
