Thanks Karl and James M. I will probably decide once I trial fit the parts and
see how it looks.

I recently built a rocket with injected fillets. But I went a couple of steps
further than Wildman. First I epoxied square wood strips onto the motor mount
between the center rings and each side of the fin slot. This way the fillets
don't fill up the entire fin can, only 1/2 inch each side of the fin. Secondly
I drilled holes in the part of the fin that goes between the air frame and
motor mount. This way the inside fillet epoxy can get a good mechanical hold
of the fin root. I think this makes a solid fin can.

Re: GPS - We’ll need to talk.

I’m still working on my 54mm bird. I am having some trouble filling the voids
on the fins. I’ll try another sand and fill this weekend.

After that, I can start on the Intimidator. What is your opinion on the
injected fillets like the instructions on the Wildman kits? There isn’t a lot
of room to work between the motor mount and body tube.

Oh yeah, I flew mine on an L skid at TCC last and it made 12k, a small M would
keep it right under the waiver for a cert flight so here is a nice use for 75mm
- fly the bird on a small puss M motor and then crank it at BALLS with a C-star

Cool rocket, but no matter what load you pick, probably not enough Chutzpah

The C* would be a cool flight

The AeroTech M1850W is no puss motor for the 75/7680. It lofted my Performance
Rocketry Competitor 4 to 18,600 feet.

But just leave that 75mm motor mount out of the Intimidator 4, make it a
minimum diameter, and fly it on an M750W 8^D

It has to fly on puss motors. It has a 75mm mount.

The Intimidator 5 and the Competitor 5 both have 98mm holes in the
bottom.

        They take real motors. 8^)

Yes as long as you don’t fly it on any puss motor

Ok, I got my Intimidator 4 kit today. Does anyone know where I can find 2
TAP’s to do my L3?
