Carolyn, You hit the nail right on the head. Education, education,education. My question is why don't these all- breed judges take it upon themselves to learn more about the breeds they are judging. If they don't have the proper knowledge of the breeds they judge it sure isn't fair to the exhibitors. If they went to breed speciality shows once in awhile they probably would be amazed at what they may learn about some of the breeds they are judging. I know they read the standards but wonder if they understand what they are reading or looking at in the illustrations. Make no mistake, I am not talking about all the all-breed judges.There are many good ones. It's just that a good percent need to be more or properly educated. JMO.
