Carlos,I agree with you entirely -- I also like using the Rollei much more than the Contax T. I was just commenting on the comparative sizes. If you take a ruler and measure your Rollei 35, you will see that Rollei's depth measurement of 32mm is only for the body itself, and not for the protruding lens and aperture and shutter speed dials. And the 60mm height measurement does not include the controls on the top or the bottom of the camera. The figures Rollei has published are not honest figures (rather like the US government's cost of living figures, but that's another subject). As far as pockets go, my 35S fits in my pants pocket and my jacket pocket easily. I never carry it in my shirt pocket.

The Rollei 35 wins clearly considering the official sizes. I never had problems putting the R35 in my pockets, I put it with the soft case and then there is no way to have problems with the lens. As I wrote previosly, the user taste has to do very much for the topic, I love the Rollei 35 because it is a %100 mechanical camera, I love the solid construction and the weight for its size, I have no problem with the Rollei 35 focusing system, in fact I enjoy using it and I like the fact the Rollei 35 does not need battery to work, except for the lightmeter. BTW I understand why the Contax T and T2 and T3 are cameras attracting several users, but I prefer the Rollei 35. All the best Carlos --- Robert Meier <robertmeier@xxxxxxxxx> escribió:
Carlos, Comparing my Contax T and my Rollei 35S, I find that their lengths are identical, their heights are also identical because the Rollei's wind lever brings the height up to that of the Contax T, and, finally, the Rollei 35S is thicker than the Contax T. The body of the 35S is just about the same thickness as the Contax T, but the amount the lens sticks out (collapsed, of course) makes it thicker by about 12mm. As far as sliding into my shirt pocket, the Contax T always slides in easily; the Rollei always catches on the lens.
