richard, i'm pretty sure kodak's dialytes were always f/7.7 lenses. but i'm not aware they offered them in smaller than large format focal lengths. jerry, your example just might be one though it seems more likely that it's a triplet. allan, your lens is almost certainly atriplet.
Kodak made Dialyte lenses in several speeds. The 70 Series Kodak Anastigmats, which were mostly f/4.5 lenses were dialytes while the 30 series KAs were Tessars. The No.70 KA was an 8", f/7.7 lens of very good quality which survived as an Ektar when coated but other Series 70 KAs were faster. If the lens says "anastigmat" on it its not a simple meniscus or an R-R. Likely a Triplet although the Dialyte may have been cheaper to make due to the precision of spacing required by Triplets. The cheap shutter mentioned suggests a cheap lens.
