Jim,
Can't get spy sweeper just yet because of money issues. Maybe when our tax
refund comes back.

  Hi Suzanne,

Did you get Spy Sweeper? I'm pretty sure it will resolve the problem if
indeed it is spyware of some kind. If that didn't work then it must be setting
on your PC of some kind. Can't imagine what that would be though. By the way,
Spy Sweeper is excellent at blocking all that junk from getting on your machine
if you engage all the shields. I would advise when you install programs though
that you shut Spy Sweeper down as it will warn you of anything trying to be
placed in start up etc.

  Thanks,
  Jim

My home page still says Google. If I alt home enough I eventually can get it
there. Although, sighted friend said AltaVista is always on the screen, either
behind or beside, even though Jaws doesn't always read it.

    Hi Suzanne,

Did you try just going into internet Options in control panel and resetting
your home page?

      Suzanne,

Unfortunately this sort of thing is fairly common and very annoying. You
either got it from some web site you visited or from some software package you
installed containing malware. I do believe that Spy Sweeper will get rid of
it. Believe me, it is well worth the price of $29.95 for two years of
protection as Spy Sweeper will help to keep this kind of crap from getting back
on your machine.

      Thanks and good luck,
      Jim
