Hi Brent,
If you plug the word putty into Google, it will lead you to the site where you
can get it. I'd download the zip file they have. When you get it, Do the
following.
extract it into a directory. The applications are console applications, so they
won't have fancy installation stuff that makes shortcuts.
Open Explorer and go to the directory where you put the files.
Find putty.exe and hit Shift F10. Choose the option that puts the shortcut on
the desktop.
From there you should be able to run it and get onto the environment where you
will be using it.

Sounds Good. Do you know where I can get the instructions on how to download
PUTTY and set it up for JAWS?

You do have to change aline in default.jss, but then it'll be fine.

Take care,

Subject: SSH and PUTTY Accessibility

I am now on the data warehouse team which is a better match for me. We are
trying to see if we can overcome the accessibility
problems so I can take my turn being on call. Is SSH or Putty more accessible
with JAWS in accessing a LINUX system from windows.
We installed SSH 3.2 but it is a trial version and I am not sure how much the
commercial version cost or even where to purchase it.
When I try to go to their website most of it is in a different language. Is
PUTTY free or is there also a cost after the trial
version?
I appreciate any information anyone has on these issues.
I am using JAWS 11.0 on Windows XP.
