yes, his info is the same as mine, since I got my current version from him,

as to editing, or creating jaws scripts you have the basic scripting manual on
your computer already:
C:\Program Files\Freedom
Scientific\JAWS\11.0\MANUALS\enu\Basics_of_Scripting.chm

which should answer any questions you have about the edit that was posted here
for you, smile.

Is the information Jim sent the same information you have? If you have more
information I need all I can get. Does anyone have step by step information on
how to edit a JAWS script?

  Hi,
This one belongs in the FAQ, because it comes up from time to time.

  1. Open default.jss in Script Manager.
  2. Find the SayNonHighlightedText event. You can do that with Control L for
the script list and scroll, then Enter.
  3. Look for the line that starts If (TheClass == cwcTTY
  4. Make a copy of that line on the clipboard
  5. Put a blank line below that line.
  5. Paste.
  6. Change the if to || and delete the (.
  7. Go to the word after the == and delete it.
  8. Put in an empty pair of double quotes.
  9. Go into Putty.
  10. If you have JAWS 11, hit Insert Windows Space. If you have JAWS 10 or
  lower, hit Insert Space.
  11. Hit F3 until you hear it say class.
  12. Press Control F1.
  13. Go back to Script Manager.
  14. Put your cursor on the second of the double quotes you put into the file
  and paste.
  15. Hit Control S to save.
  16. You should be good to go.

  Putty

You do have to change aline in default.jss, but then it'll be fine.

  Take care,
  Sina

I am now on the data warehouse team which is a better match for me. We are
trying to see if we can overcome the accessibility
problems so I can take my turn being on call. Is SSH or Putty more
accessible with JAWS in accessing a LINUX system from windows.
We installed SSH 3.2 but it is a trial version and I am not sure how much
the commercial version cost or even where to purchase it.
When I try to go to their website most of it is in a different language. Is
PUTTY free or is there also a cost after the trial
  version?
I appreciate any information anyone has on these issues.
I am using JAWS 11.0 on Windows XP.
