I have an iPod Touch which uses VoiceOver. I find it to be quite easy to use and actually prefer running some apps on the Touch rather than on my netbook. From the podcasts I have listened to, VoiceOver is now very powerful and with the recent release of OS4, VoiceOver even supports blu-tooth Braille displays.

Just how accessible is apple these days anyway? I heard some interesting things about voiceover but, I've never run across another screen reader user who's actually made the switch. Are all applications accessible using it? Wonder how coding, word processing and browsing work with it. Alex On 6/25/10, katherine Moss <plymouthroamer285@xxxxxxxxx> wrote:Thanks a lot. If only Microsoft Corp would be as proactive as Apple in making their products accessible right from the source and not having us have to install extra software just for accessibility purposes. I mean seriously. -----Original Message----- From: programmingblind-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:programmingblind-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Jamal Mazrui Sent: Friday, June 25, 2010 11:11 AM To: guispeak@xxxxxxxxxxxxx; programmingblind@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Accessibility guides and research studies from Microsoft From the archive http://EmpowermentZone.com/ms_acc_doc.zip This archive contains accessibility guides and research studies from microsoft.com.
