Hi Gman,

So do you have this update installed on your computer?

Cristy,
It IS intrusive and it IS spyware, but it's perfectly legal for them to
do it to us because we all agreed to their TOS (Terms Of Service) when we
installed the OS. Unfortunately, many of their updates won't install
without it knowing whether your OS is genuine.

This, combined with their Product Activation, is not really designed to
stop the crackers as much as it is to prevent people from installing it on
more than the allotted number of systems. Of course, most versions of the
OS are only allowed on a single system.

Peace,
GMan
