There goes... you've now learned that its already bad enough that Microsoft 
can't really give a convincing story on why people need this installed (as 
there is none), do you think Microsoft is going to now allow you to remove it 
after they went through hurdles and hurdles to have you download and install 
it? hehe
Seriously, though, they won't let you remove it cause the purpose of this app 
is to spit out annoying messages that your OS is illegal (assuming it were) and 
that you shouldn't be using it. They try to convince you to stop using the 
"illegal" copy of Windows. If you really did have an illegal copy of Windows, 
then you could just remove the patch and no longer be bugged... making the 
patch useless. That's why you can't remove it.

Problem is... sometimes even those with completely legit copies of the OS will 
have problems with WGA claiming their copy is illegal.
