Been using Google all day; found a bunch of great sites too .. But no one
ever explains it as cut and dry as you do G ;) Haven't really had time to
lurk too much even .. Between night shift and House Hunting now I have been
dead on my feet sometimes ..

Gman wrote: Hey CC, it's great to see ya! :) In addition to all that's
already been said, apps that won't work come down to anything that includes
any amount of 16-bit (or earlier) code. Of course, that means any 16-bit
apps, but it also includes any 32-bit apps that have the unfortunate luck to
be tied to a 16-bit installer. There are numerous examples of this, but most
apps have already been updated with full 32-bit installers that will work
just fine under Vista 64. The good part is that Vista will balk if you try
toinstall one of these 16-bit apps or a 32 that uses a 16-bit installer.
You'll be able to gracefully back out without hurting the OS at all. That
will give you the opportunity to go hunting for a replacement that may turn
out to be better than whatever app you had been using up to that point. If
you've been lurking all this time, you may have seen a very recent post from
me mentioning that there are now tons of freeware and open source apps
available these days. A little Google goes a long ways these days. lol
