Floppy drives are so cheap now ($10), and they don't take up any valuable IDE
space on your system, since it uses its own controller/cable... there's no
reason not to have one, in MY opinion. That one time that someone has a floppy
with data for you, and you'll be ready for it. Plus, floppy drives are needed
if you're experiencing bootup problems, and can't seem to get your system to
boot from CD (even though the BIOS says to do so). I've had it happen to me
more than once, and there was no way of getting in without the floppy.

If you share files by floppy then you would need one to keep an A: drive..I
never have and probably never will share floppys. I don't do music on my
computer at all. So I dont have any TO share. I guess was lucky I managed
to get what I did off the old floppys.
