Andy
You can have NTFS and Fat32 on the same system, even the same drive. My
Gateway tower has one hard drive with NTFS, one with Fat32 and a small
drive with FAT. My AMD has one hard drive with a NTFS partion and a
FAT32 partition. The Gateway runs XP Pro, the AMD runs Server 2003. On
the network also is the Compaq laptop running 98SE with a FAT32. No
problem seeing all the drives and sharing files.

Hey Andy,
The two different disk formats don't make a difference -- I'm doing
exactly what you want to do right now -- my main machine is on Wink2k
with NTFS and the computer upstairs is networked -- its Win98 with Fat32
and it works fine -- you just have to specify which folders you want to
share or not.
