Andy You can have NTFS and Fat32 on the same system, even the same drive. My Gateway tower has one hard drive with NTFS, one with Fat32 and a small drive with FAT. My AMD has one hard drive with a NTFS partion and a FAT32 partition. The Gateway runs XP Pro, the AMD runs Server 2003. On the network also is the Compaq laptop running 98SE with a FAT32. No problem seeing all the drives and sharing files.
