I am confused! Does this really relate to the alert in event viewer? There is no mention of HP in the event viewer. And everything is running just fine. I guess what I am trying to say is that if I had not been looking in event viewer to see if scan disk completed successfully, I would not even know I had a problem. And do I have a problem or is this just one of those messages like "fatal error" that makes you think something is dying when it really is not. I do thank you for the response and detailed explanation of how to fix it and I will keep this for future reference.
