Yes leaving the D drive alone (On HP Systems of this
nature) is the best advice. The long detailed recovery
site that I sent you (the 2nd of the two) is addressed
to an individual who did not leave the D drive alone.
I'll leave it to your imagination which one of those
sites I really needed :)

I agree with you about the recovery discs - it
certainly is a pain. Gman however pointed out that you
can buy the recovery discs from HP a while back on
another issue.

Nonetheless I agree. These are new machines afterall
and one expects more. Also they could somewhere in
those many manuals they give you point out that defrag
scans would report errors on the non-standard recovery
drive (D) and that is usually normal and ok.
