Hi,
It sounds like you have some variety of an HP computer
a couple of which I have and on which I ran into the
same problem you are talking about. I give you the two
sites that helped me on this one but remember they
apply to HP systems that come pre-installed with a
restore drive (usually D and usually with the amount
of free space you describe). If it is not an HP than
Gman's advice is the way to go.
