Which is why my immediate response to any verbal instruction more
dangerous than "Coffee, 2 sugars, no milk." is always, "Could you put
that in an email please?".  Perhaps I've been in the public sector for
too long, CYA is just a reflex action now.


It's better to ask a silly question than to make a silly assumption.
