A few years ago, my son-in-law who is a mortgage broker gave me a dozen old Macs in various repair that he was replacing on two conditions: I wipe any client data from them and any salvageable units would be put to good use. I cannibalized some and donated them, but 5 or 6 were beyond repair. I copied software from the drives before wiping and scrapping the units. It is my contention that the 6 copies of Tiger OS gleaned from the units were paid for and are now legally mine to do with as I please as the original units have been scrapped. One copy was given to a MUGLO member who needed it. She refuses to use it because it is not personally autographed by Steve Jobs. Comments? Wayne Dobson pwdobson@xxxxxxxxxx (519) 474-1253 res.
