Right, I can't open the document yet. This is a Word group, but I am wondering already what a DOS text editor can do? There has to be a way to open it. It is a genealogy file on family history, so I am not anxious to give up on it just yet. I am downloading Star now. Anyone have a favorite text editor? I was looking at Ultra-Edit (not free), but I am in almost desperation now. As for graphics, I was "assured" there are none. I hope that is true. Thank you.
