>think about it...if someone denies your receipt, do you think they would actually admit to it? <hee, hee> I always do. A few people have come back wondering why I was able to answer, yet they never got a receipt on my actions...and I tell them that I stop the receipt because I consider them an invasion of my privacy and annoying.<eg> Some I have told to turn them off or I'll stop replying. But most I just say No when a receipt is requested. The only time I really say yes is to close colleagues who live in other countries. BTW...didn't mean to step on the conversation with the last post...I didn't notice the rest of the thread. Time to get some sleep!<g> (Yes, I'm on vampire hours.<g> Greg is currently flying relief missions in the gulf. I'll sleep better when he's safely back home.) Dian D. Remember there's also an option to be prompted to accept/decline the receipt on each email....who knows what the IT guy actually does on any given day?) Sorry, Graham...can't help you anymore on this one...perhaps someone else knows...good luck. Linda F. I knew that Read receipt could be denied by the receiver, but it seems to be more random than that - e.g. I have checked with our company IT technician As a practice he does not Deny receipt of my messages and yet of those that I have sent to him this year (2005) 53 have Tracking and 15 don't, and there doesn't seem to be a pattern, i.e. Re: or FW: in the Subject line, fully opened or unopened one-liners, and so on - all very strange!!
