I've messed with this and found that for the tracking to work, the read
receipt has to be processed. With Office XP, I found the only way to
actually process it was to open it, even though I set the option to
process read receipts upon receipt.=20

Under Office 2003, it seems to work better, the receipt seems to process
now with that option checked, it just doesn't process immediately, there
is a delay.

Also, if you've moved the original message to a pst folder, it can't
find it to add the tracking info.=20

Subject: [mso] Outlook: Read receipts and Tracking

Can anyone tell me why, on my work Intranet, some Sent Items messages
have the Tracking Tab and some do not?
The Option setting is that all messages require Read receipts, and so I
also receive a Not Read if they are deleted without being fully opened.

Also, why do some messages out to the Internet return Read receipts but
only very few?

Thanks
