Sorry...I have no clue why....are you using Corporate/Workgroup?   I
have the Name tab in mine but I'm using internet mail only.....when I
send an html mail to someone I have set for plain text, I get a warning
asking me if I want to convert

And that's in 2000

Haven't tried it since I found the setting in 2002 that Hal pointed out
to me

thought they might have pointed me in the right direction anyway.

To Greg...I know about what you suggested, but that changes ALL emails
to
plain text whereas I was looking for an option to allow me to mark
individual recipients as always being sent plain text or HTML. There is
such
an option in Netscape Messenger which I always relied on before moving
to
Outlook, and Linda's earlier posting seems to say there is such an
option in
Outlook 2000 but I can't find it.  She said...
