[mso] Re: Formatting of emails in freelists and Outlook

Hi Linda,

Not sure this problem with '=3D20' and 'blank' is just related to html
mail.

I've noticed it in quite a few of my posts, but I only ever use plain
text - even converting to plain text when someone write to me in html.

With the option to only use plain text with certain contacts - is/was
that through the Address Book or Contacts in Outlook 2000?

Cheers

:Just a note to all....since this thread includes posts by=20
     :Diane and
:Peter and both of them have written to me privately so I=20
     :know they both
:use html stationery which includes backgrounds...you can=20
     :scroll down and
:see what freelists does with this when it converts it to plain
     :text....see all of Peter's "=3D" and "=3D20" marks and the=20
     :"Blank" that
:always comes in at the beginning of Diane's email...I'm=20
     :assuming the "=3D"
:must have something to do with the graphic Peter uses for=20
     :his background
:and the "Blank" must be caused by the color Diane uses=20
     :for hers...since
:I also use html mail by default, but I don't use a color=20
     :or graphic for
:my background and my mail *seems* to come thru clean
     :
:If either of you have this list in your address book, do=20
     :you know there
:is a place you can check in the address book that tells=20
     :Outlook 2000 to
:send your email to this address as plain text? =20
     :
:Not that it bothers me, but just thought you might like=20
     :to know, FYI.
:(unless you are using OE, of course, then I don't know how to fix
:it)....I also noticed that this checkbox has been removed from the
:address book in Outlook 2002...does anyone using Outlook=20
     :2002 know where
:you can configure your contacts individually to be sent=20
     :mail in plain
:text only? Or has Microsoft removed this feature=20
     :altogether....and if
     :so, I wonder why?
