Well, the Contacts list should let you do that. I know that there's been
a setting for such things since before Outlook was Outlook (Exchange
Client days). If you double click on of the contacts and then double
click the email address field for that contact, do you see a setting for
the mail format. Usually it's set to something like "Let Outlook
decide".
