Patrick - Stateside, I believe the book "Machinery Handbook 27th Edition" is offered in three variations: Regular size, which is about 4" x 6" x thick Super size, which is more like 8.5" x 11" x thick and has larger type. CD And there may be a ready reference version which is thinner and has only the more commonly needed information. But it isn't nearly as good as the regular size edition for holding down the corner of a blueprint which has just been unrolled for study. ;-] As Terry mentioned in some other posts, since most of us are on the bleeding but not leading edge of machine shop technology, and an older edition -- in good condition and appropriately marked down in price -- usually has all the relevant information for our needs and capabilities. Mine is the 25th edition, purchased at a bookstore closing sale, and I've never known enough to ask a question which wasn't answered therein. (Asking the question in such a way that I can correctly look up the answer is another matter...)
