through them, deleting whatever and VO J jumping to the content pane. I
guess your way you can just Command W to close the message and continue on

point where I stop reading, and not still at the beginning of the message.
Is there a setting I am missing?
Additional note: I just noticed, while composing this email message, that
the VO cursor does, indeed, follow the keyboard focus, so the problem
only exists when reading an existing email message, and not when
composing a new message.
