Hi. I currently use a stereo headset with the iPhone for makng calls. Due to my hearing loss, I use my personal headphones. I do not use the iPhone headset. Of course, I have to talk into the mic of the iPhone and use it to physically press buttons, but I use a headset with it just fine. Works great!
