For one reason or another, today's post has not shown up in my inbox. Here's a revised version:

Velma Parks, born in Bethel in 1903, raised in Creswell, fell for Prosinious "Pete" Skogset and married him in 1925. Her daughter, Lou Lahti, survives.

Wenton Redmond was born in McMinnville, which is exactly where he died, 81 years later. He was a past president of the Oregon Purebred Sheepbreeders Association. His daughters are JoAnn Briesenmeister, Julie Ann Early and Jennifer Redmond-Noble. He married a Janet.

Bill Babeckos went to Benson High School but spent summers at his grandmother Lucinda Borquez's house on "Bainbridge Bridge island" before going into "the boating business."

Tavita Thompson, who weighs 308 pounds and who might be a tackle, will play his first OSU game this season on Saturday. He was suspended for a year for trying over-the-counter diet pills, which contained a banned substance.

You don't share my interest in the weirdness of names and naming patterns? How strange is it that you call your daughters all "J" names, because your wife's name begins with "J," and, having had a "hit" with "JoAnn," you decide the next one should be "Julie Ann?" How weird is it that anyone should be called "Prosinious?" The rest is just odd alliteration.

You can google "Prosinious Pete" and verify.
