The trouble is I am really tempted to get out because I want to play with the toys I got for Christmas. There are only a limited number of videos you can take of the house and garden before interest wanes and I am impatient to run some proper field tests. The toys in question are a Bushnell Trophy Cam for remote video/photo captures and a Canon Legria HFR16 HD camcorder. The Bushnell has proved excellent so far - dumped in the garden it just automatically grabs videos or photos of anything that triggers the I/R beam. I left it out yesterday afternoon and it recorded 84 twenty second videos. Most were of curious pigeons and starlings but it also picked up a Dunnock, Blackbirds, Chaffinches, Goldfinches and the neighbour's Burmese cat (grrrr).. Night images/videos look odd as they are in the I/R spectrum but it still shows detail out to about 200ft away. bones bones@xxxxxxx -----Original Message----- From: jhb-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jhb-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Peter Dodds Sent: 21 January 2011 14:11 To: jhb@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Cc: pdodds@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [jhb] Re: Update I don't remember getting frequently inedible plastic mattresses served up for tea, but tea did in fact often make me sweat! Glad you're on the mend John. you could try Snaefell next week for a practice run...
