Hi Curtis,

It's a very odd problem.  I just tried it here and had no problems with it 
at all.  But I have seen others report this problem since JAWS 8 came out. 
I'd agree it's a windows issue and not a JAWS issue but someone should 
report it to FS since several people here have had the same problem.

It certainly would be, if I, for example, did forget to "apply"
before ok button, but alas, I did not forget to apply.  It is a way,
in Microsoft schtuff often to apply settings without closing the
dialog or to apply the settings immediately to the underlying
application to see if the changes are what you want, but the hot key
went away immediately when "apply" was pressed even if it did show
for a little while. :) hmm?
