I did originally have this problem when I installed 8 last night, but after restarting my computer, everything worked fine. I have no idea why that would be, but it worked, and now, my hotkey does bring up version 8. Take care. -- Julie Morales Email & Windows/MSN Messenger: mercy421@xxxxxxxxxxx http://www.youravon.com/juliemorales Currently in Winchester Regional, Virginia Clear, 41F°(5C°) Wind:Calm Age only matters if you're cheese. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Alex Stone" <alex.stone@xxxxxxxxxxx> To: <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Saturday, November 18, 2006 12:58 PM Subject: RE: strange problem with jaws 8 and ctrl+alt+j hotkey Scott, I'm having exactly the same problem. I didn't remove 7.10, but I removed the hotkey, and now I can't set a hotkey for version 8. Cheers. I uninstalled Jaws 7 after installing 8, and for some reason, I cannot get a hotkey ctrl+alt+j, or any other combination of that, to stick. The window in the properties is set to run maximized, but when I apply the settings, it doesn't seem to take? Fortunately, Jaws is set to come up on startup, so that's not a problem there, but it would be good to have that hotkey back, just in case. Any ideas?
