Katherine, if you have Jaws set to run when the computer starts, then when
Jaws starts, it is running as a service at that time. But if you exit jaws
and then just start it with a standard hotkey then it isn't running as a
service. Unless you change the shortcut path as described in this TSN.

Only then when you restart Jaws will it still be running as a service.

I don't think I understand, what is running as a service? We installed it,
it's set to start when the computer is turned on and I have it in the system
tray and the short cut is working. What else should I be doing? (There
sure is a lot I don't know, that's why I'm glad for this list.)
