You know though you really must have it running as a service. I had started jaws with a hotkey and just tried to log off and jaws wouldn't read the log in screen. So I started Jaws this time in the run dialog with net start jfwservice And tried it again and it read it again just like the first time I tried it. I have run jaws automatically so it was running as a service the first time. Okay I'm not making sense now, so goodnight, smile. And good luck! But of course I just had to try it myself first. So I disabled fast user switching as suggested. I enabled my guest account so I had two accounts. I logged off Debbie and jaws still did talk and read me the welcome screen. I could spacebar on Debbie or guest and get into it and jaws was still talking. But you do have to have jaws running as a service. http://www.freedomscientific.com/fs_support/BulletinView.cfm?QC=566 Debbie ----- Original Message ----- From: "James Homuth" <james@xxxxxxxxxxx> To: <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Wednesday, June 28, 2006 10:30 PM Subject: Re: ***DHSPAM*** RE: Jaws and the login Screen This is untrue. I have checked the option to start JAWS automaticly before and, while it comes on for the login screen when the computer is first powered on, or if and when the computer is restarted, it is shut down by Windows when I log off my account so someone else can use the machine.
