People who complain about syntax normally haven't given the language
much of a look.  ObjC's syntax for the OO bits is fairly close to
CLOS or Smalltalk, which are two OO systems far more respected and
aged than C++ or Java.

IMO, the new jewel's strengths will be a clean object model and
extensibility in almost any language.  Brett has his own ideas, but
he's a fiendish coder, so I hope they're on having a fiendishly
clever core. ;-)
