hi Steven.

now firstly, did you eventually see my post some weeks back on this whole
deal, and were you able to follow it easily? re assigning actions to events,
and the on/off status of each event, in the list of various events,
that should be now listed in the events tab of your frame
properties etc?

So to me, it sounds like you have got an OnText event, assigned to launch
your script like you want. but, that another event still also assigned to
trigger upon the Text Changing,
is also speaking the actual frame contents as well now, which you don't
want. is that right?

This to me suggests, that you've still got the original OnText event whose
action is still assigned to SayFrame,
that gets assigned as a matter of course when you first assign the frame's
purpose in the wizard, turned on, or present, or both actually, as one of
the multiple events you can have various frame Triggers assigned to.

So, you'd go into frame Viewer, tab till you find the frame in question, hit
alt+Enter, control+Tab twice till you reach the events tab, then you should
be focused on the list of various events, with the word On, or Off, at the
front of each one, which should also detail what action each one has been
assigned.
So find the one that might say something like,
On, onFrameKey sayFrame, blah blah blah.
or,
on, OnText, SayFrame, blah blah blah.

just either hit spaceBar to turn them off, if you wanna leave them there in
case you wannem back on for further debugging purposes later, or you can
permanently delete them if you want by hitting delete.

you can even change the order of the events in here using the move event up
or down buttons etc. very powerful!

hth.

I would like to turn this off so it says nothing but just launches the
script.

there was a selection of actions and one of them is screen echo or something
and I can't find that now in the Frame viewer?
