Hi,
As far as RHCE is concerned its the leading certification in linux
though you have other line LPI and Novell's.
I think there is two options available in STG. There own certificate
and course material for the course and Second is official Redhat. If
you are so much sure of taking RHCE then with RHCE certificate no one
bothers about what course certificate you have.
If you are planning to take up RHCE after the course in STG but
after 2-3 months you make sure that you inform the manager you will
take a break and take the Night Labs before the exam which you are
entitled to.
Also as far as the percentage of pass there is no restriction like
only this many no. can pass and others should be failed. If you need
the percentage (marks) then see the redhat website for latest
information.
I would also like to tell those who take up RHCE to be good with all
the excercise in the Redhat Study material as with that you will able
to around 70% of marks. This i am telling through the experience and i
got my certification in june 2004.
Also getting 100% in RHCE is not something too hard (Believe me as i
was able to get it) if you practice well and if you are clear about
concepts and read the questions in RHCE exam properly as they wont be
straight-forward but again wont be too much twisted.
If you are a group who is practicing for RHCE then first prepare a
method which you are going to follow to get the best result. Team work
is always good. ( we were 6 in a group when we took the exam and we
all got certified in first attempt.).
The most important thing in our case was we made the best use of the
infrastructure available in STG. Which again you can do.
