You are right my friend, i agree :). but most people who sit
on the interview panel do not seem to share our views.
They(not all) are not qualified enough to test the linux skills of
the people who apply for jobs.they are mostly gurus in java or
some MS technology like VB or ASP.
say a company is hiring linux professionals(among others). in the
interview panel of 3 to 6 usualy only one knows unix. but all 6 ask u
questions regarding unix..

Work experiences speak for themselves. i do not know how valuable
others are pertaining to interview..
One of my friends is in linux customer support in a MNC.
one day he calls me and asks "what is mounting in linux"
then went on to ask what a filesystem is.
how do you think he got the job then.. probably the person who
interviewed him did not know any thing in linux.
there is where RHCE comes in. I do not think one will pass
RHCE if he is just lucky without knowing much. it helps(to some level)
in understanding(from a HR preson's perspective) our skill..
I do agree with ur points :) but do they apply(practically) in our
country??????
by the way anybody in this list have done RHCE in STG chennai..
just wanted to know about the experiance...
