Well, let me get my rant in too. When I first moved to Chennai, I was taken
aback by the fact that _none_ of the bus stops have any signs in English! I
mean, come on, you love your language and all, all power to you, but why
trouble poor outsiders by not even writing the damn bus stop name in
English?
I see the same problem with the traffic cops - they put up these huge
boards with instructions on changed directions _only_ in Tamil! I'm all for
native language lovin', but this is ridiculous.
