I have used Modify Design Padstack many times, but never even noticed
the Purge-> button at the bottom of the Options tab.
So you work for Sun (as in Microsystems)? I have fond memories of Sun
Workstations, we used them back in the old days when Allegro was run on
UNIX.
Thanks again for solving this one for me (along with Barbara's help, of
course!). I'm going to stash your e-mail away for future reference.

Have you done: Tools > Padstack > Modify Design Padstack > Purge > All
If not, try that and then flash_convert again.
Let me know if the flash_convert.log still complains about unused pads.
