CompUsa still sells 3-Button Mice, cheap! On-Line Only. I bought two spares (haven't tested them - but Mice usually live long [although not forever]). http://www.compusa.com/products/product_info.asp?product_code=50025006 <http://www.compusa.com/products/product_info.asp?product_code=50025006&pfp= BROWSE> &pfp=BROWSE Richard E Marion 169 Little Mill Road Unit 2 Sandown NH 03873-2554 HOME: 603-887-2266 CELL: 603-247-1610 FAX : 603-887-2936 -----Original Message----- From: icu-pcb-forum-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:icu-pcb-forum-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Riley, Andrew Sent: Friday, May 05, 2006 4:36 PM To: icu-pcb-forum@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [PCB_FORUM] Re: mouse change w/15.5 Shirley, If you wanted to use a newer fancy mouse, just set the scroll wheel to "Middle Button" on any Logitech mouse. Pushing down on the scroll wheel works the same as a middle button for Allegro and still functions as a scroll wheel for other applications. I like the MX1000 so much I bought another one for at work. Sorry, I don't think that I have any more of those 3-button Logitech mice, otherwise I'd send 'em your way. I still catch myself trying to move a screen the Allegro way in other apps or games, and even a stroke once or twice. Cheers! Every one gets a bribe if they change to a fancy mouse and bring me their old one. They get chocolate if they supply the driver files too! Wow they were just great. Once you get used to them they are very powerful. When I started up on Cadence I found they had only a few strokes and most of them didn't work well so I went back to using function keys for the basic things. Of course it doesn't help much that Cadence follows the Select a process then select the thing the process is to affect. Whereas Mentor you select the item, then tell it what process you want to use. One of these days I will train my Cadence tool how to use strokes better but as a librarian there are only a few basic things I need now. Some of them look like ninja's just stroking their mouse. ----- Original Message ---- From: David Greig <david@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: icu-pcb-forum@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Saturday, February 18, 2006 1:49:53 AM Subject: [PCB_FORUM] Re: mouse change w/15.5 Hope xyz@xxxxxxxxxx reads my posting when they get back into their office! Before, while on 15.2, clicking the middle mouse button would continue zooming in if I had just zoomed in. If I had just zoomed out, the middle mouse button would continue the zooming out when clicked. Now, clicking the middle mouse button zooms me in, whether I just zoomed out or in. Not a big deal, but anyone have any clues as to where this is set? Thanks! Gary E.
