The discussion was about DVI, not HDMI. It's pretty obvious than when I say "all the cards I seen had DVI-I" I mean the cards with a DVI port.
In fact I seen a lot of cards with VGA only, as everyone here did. Or with EGA/CGA. Or 13w3. Or composite. Or something completely different...
