I would tend to agree as well at this point.

Depending on how long it will be before Alpha 1 materializes, FF2 will
probably suffice - perhaps WebKit/FF3 target makes sense for a Beta
instead.

During LinuxWorld, most people who saw FF2 running on Haiku were
satisfied - and hearing that FF3 and WebKit were being worked on
assured them that we're not sitting still ;)

Many still use FF2, and I even run into people using FF1.5 on windows still
