:: FreeBox Connection Problem
I tested FreeBox DHCP at the work table, and it worked fine. However,
I couldn't ping out from the FreeBoxes I tested with alphanumeric or
hard IPs. I tried several gateway IPs, but none worked so I quit
testing and continued installing Vector Linux.
There were no DNS or ping issues at the LTSP workstation or the server
console.
Really sounds like I forgot to activate /etc/rc.d/rc.vector (or
rc.local) and add echo "1" > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward. Don't know
til I look. I won't be able to get over there to take a look til Monday
evening...
:: Refurb God
Kevin declared himself the refurb God. He repaired a string of
misbehaving Dell computers for Dale and me. Actually, I don't think
Kevin said "refurb."
Dale and I pointed out the downside of declaring oneself God...in the
kindest terms of course. ;^)
Yup, gonna tick off the karma gods!!!! Then they send Murphy after ya!

Upgradeable??? Why, it rocks! It's a DIY machine... U assemble the
parts... Good stuff though...

On the surface, not that I see... 2gig of PC-4200 ram! (That's 533mhz
memory for the rest of us)
Look at the bright side, we could replace the classroom server right
now with it... (minus SAS-RAID though)
*** On another subject ***
Sorry I missed last night. Needed the downtime from that server and
was working to get the laptop setup so I can start learning the solution
to repartition / install multi boot OS's on Tom's laptop.
