I assume that this is a team test. :)

Question 4 - How stupid is the way a PDA is required to set letterbugs
on FCP270s? What benefit does this provide a plant employee?

Very stupid, in my not-so-humble opinion.

The intended benefit was that one would not have to build letterbugs by
hand. That's a good thing.

The unexpected consequence is that IR in handhelds is going the way of
the dodo (not immediately, but not too far down the line) which will
eventually leave all of us without a way to set the letterbug of a
controller. That's a bad thing.

We are looking at using a letterbug mapper like the one used for Micro
I/A to replace the handheld.

Question 1 - Don't delete it. Simply set it up to change to the
environment that you want when the Initial environment is invoked. This
gets you everything you want - except eliminating it from the list - and
keeps you from breaking anything.

I'll leave the rest to people living in a time zone where it is not 38
minutes after mid-night.
