More information for the experts:

Generally, I run my BrailleNote in Line mode. Now, when I open DBT Win 10.4 or the beta, the BrailleNote switches to Structured Mode. I am not able to route the braille and active cursors. This does not occur in any other program on my computer. Hope this helps.

Dave,

Certainly the scripts have been developed and most thoroughly tested with
JAWS 5.

But, at the same time, we do believe that they're compatible back to JAWS
3-something. (Caryn will know the details, but she's gone for the weekend.)
We distribute the scripts in source form, and have JAWS itself compile them
while SETUP is running.

In other words, we really shouldn't have functions and function calls in
them that would preclude use with 4.2. If we have them, and you spot them,
please let us know what they are. (We may not be able to do without them,
but, as you suggest, we'd at least be able to warn people.)

Hello Peter:

I think that some of the problem may be caused by the fact that this person
is running JAWS 4.2..

Unless I am not mistaken, the scripts that are included for the DBT Beta
10.5 are written for JAWS 5.0.

If that is the case, then the scripts will probably have new commands,
functions and function calls included in them that are available in JAWS 5.0
that were not available when Jaws 4.2 was released.

DBT users' should be made aware of this possible problem when they are
installing the JAWS scripts for the new version of the DBT program.

Sincerely:
