Are you using Windows 7? If so it probably reads it as percentages,
specially if you have an intel built-in graphics such as the 3000, 4000 or
4600.

If so, set a percentage and press tab, then jaws will read the actual
numbers. Then you can shift tab to find the bar and move it up and down.

Thanks, will definitely get some sighted assistance to confirm what I'm
seeing with jaws. very true about it not always being screen reader
friendly, however is reading these selections, and quite strangely, this
1024 by 768 is not a choice given so is where I am not and got to find a
tech who knows how to make this come up.

Yes, 1024 by 768 is what you want. Unless somebody swapped your video card
out for another, there's no doubt that your card can be set to that
resolution. But that Windows is not at all screen-reader friendly. You may
need to tab to the field that shows resolutions and then press right or left
arrow. Then, to read the new value, you must tab away from the field and
then tab back. Probably fastest to recruit a sighted assistant.

No, I'm afraid not, though could see how it might do that. No, hadn't been
connected to anything unusual and a bit baffling. Wondering if it could be a
virus or something.

If you know, could you varify that the display needs to be either 1024, 1152
or 1280 for horizontal and 768 for vertical? Since this is not one of the
choices, am wondering if there is a way of getting in somewhere in between
what is offered if you know what I mean.

I see a couple with horizontal settings of 1024 and or 1152 but none of them
have a vertical setting of 768.... Thanks in advance

Dave, is it possible that you or anyone else connected your machine to a
video projector or auxiliary video display? If so, it is likely that good
old Windows changed your display settings for you without even asking.

Hello Friends, Just went into Sonar 8.3 and getting message that my display
is set to the wrong resolution. Haven't changed anything in display for a
couple years so dont know how it could change. Then, when I go into display
to change setting, I cang find one that is both horiz 1024, 1152, or 1280
alongwith vertical of 768 as nessage states, did i understand this message
correctly, and if so, how would display settings change like that on their
own? Are there possibly other values that I'm not seeing as seems to have
many choices but not one I need. Using Windows XP. Thanks for any ideas.
Dave
